Szrenica (1362 m n.p.m.) – observation peak in the Main Ridge of the Karkonosze Mountains, towering over Szklarska Poręba and situated in the strict reserve of KPN. The state border runs just below the top. Polish name Szrenica, formed from the word frost with the suffix -ica, replaced the German name Reiftrager after World War II.
The Szrenica Massif is extensive and fragmented in its lower parts. The top itself is covered with a large granite pile, below which the rock groups of the Three Pigs rise, Hoarfrost, Szrenicka Skała and Konskie Łbów. The eastern slope is undercut by a nival niche (Szrenica's cauldron), which avalanches descend in winter. Hala Szrenicka stretches on the western slope. The mountain forests on the mountain were heavily damaged by the acid rain, they are currently being rebuilt.
It is one of the most popular Karkonosze peaks, well developed in terms of tourism and skiing (at the top of the shelter, numerous hiking trails, ski runs, cableway, T-bar lifts).
