Głębock

Głębock – it is one of the smallest villages in the vicinity of the Krkonoše Mountains, located in the Jelenia Góra Valley, in the Głębocka Struga valley, at the foot of the Grzebień hill (430 m n.p.m.). The town was first mentioned in 1388 r. There were numerous peasant revolts in the village, the most famous erupted in 1741 r. against Count Albrecht Wenzel von Waldstein (Wallenstein). W XIX w., when the owner was Countess Maria Teresa von Matuschka, there was an evangelical school and a court inn in Głębock. Three fish ponds were also built (currently a fire fighting tank).

There is an organic farm in the village called "Ananda Putta Bhumi” (in translation from Sanskrit: Place of Pure Thoughts), belonging to the community "Ananda Marga”founded in 1955 r. przez Prabhata Ranjama Sarkara. Community every year (usually in July) organizes the festival of Neohumanist Ecology.

We go through the village along an asphalt road, first we turn right, then turn left and after the last buildings we go up a small hill (views of the Karkonosze and Rudawy Janowickie). The trail passes a transformer and runs along the edge of the forest, over a stone bridge, turns right and after a few hundred meters it reaches the first buildings of Mysłakowice. A narrow asphalt road leads along the flood embankment to road no 367 from Jelenia Góra to Kowary. We cross the road and follow the signs through the village. The trail crosses the bridge on the Łomnica River, turns left, then right at the pond and comes to the tracks of a disused railway line. Behind the railway crossing, there is a bus stop on the right (line to Jelenia Góra, Karpacz and Kamienna Góra).
