Smogornia (1489 m n.p.m.) – the highest peak in the eastern part of the Karkonosze and the third highest peak in the Sudetes, it is situated on the state border, in the Main Ridge of the Karkonosze Mountains. The vast mountain massif with a flattened top is covered with granite rock debris and mountain pine patches. The Smogornia Cauldron cuts into the northern slope (the spring area of the Silver Stream). The north-eastern slopes undercut the Mały Staw and Wielki Staw Kocios, and to the southeast stretches the Silver Upłaz, passing into Równia under Śnieżka. On the Czech side, Smogornia changes into the flattening of Ćertova louka. The top is a great vantage point.
