Tadeusz Różewicz and the Giant Mountains

Tadeusz Różewicz and the Karkonosze Mountains Outstanding Polish poet, a prose writer and playwright fell in love with the Karkonosze Mountains, when in years 90. XX w. came to visit Henryk Tomaszewski, the founder of the Wrocław Mime Theater and the founder of the Toy Museum in Karpacz. The result of Różewicz's fascination with the mountains, their nature and landscapes is, inter alia, the poem "Gawęda about belated love", which begins with words:

I count 75 lat
and write paint
I fell in love with the Karkonosze Mountains
which are approx 450 million years
I fell in love with the Giant Mountains
